Two more conference wins for the Lady Redskins

by E. Scott England The Lady Redskins played two games last week. At the end of the week, they had outscored their two opponents 137-19. The wins moved them to 24-3 (9-0). The first contest of the week was against Okaw Valley. One could venture a guess that by the end of the first quarter, the game was over. National and State Soybean Boards seeking candidates

The Illinois Soybean Board (ISB) is looking for farmers interested in filling two of Illinois’ director positions with the United Soybean Board (USB). Any soybean producer who is engaged in the growing of soybeans in the United States who owns, or who shares the ownership and risk of loss of, is eligible. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
