Illinois was Cold and Dry in November

The statewide average temperature was 34.3 degrees, which is 8.2 degrees below average, and the fourth coldest November on record, according to Illinois State Climatologist Jim Angel, Illinois State Water Survey, University of Illinois. Larry Wacaser Retired neurosurgeon Dr. Lawrence “Larry” Keyes Wacaser, 77, died peacefully October 16, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn.  Five days earlier, he suffered anoxic brain damage from cardiac arrest which resulted from tragically choking on food. McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan is coordinating Dr. Wacaser’s memorial service at the Lovington United Methodist Church at 241 S. Visit with Santa at Lake Shelbyville
