December 10, 2014 By Matt Kracht NP Sport Reporter The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond varsity girls’ basketball team played four games in three days with losses to tournament champion Cerro Gordo Bement on Thursday and runner up Shelbyville on Friday. However, the Lady Knights rebounded on Saturday to win in dominating fashion over Judah Christian and Buckley. Public meetings on iPad use begin Wednesday, Dec. 10 Submitted by the Sullivan School District The Sullivan school district will be holding a series of public meetings beginning next week to discuss iSullivan, the district’s 1:1 digital device learning initiative. School districts have witnessed a major shift in the role technology plays in instruction. Instead of students having access to technology only when the school’s computer lab is available, more school districts are providing access to students as needed. One Stop Community Christmas Volunteers Needed

One Stop Shop takes donations from the surrounding communities and then allows parents or legal guardians with families in need of help with Christmas, who have pre-registered, to shop along with a personal volunteer shopper. Items available typically include new toys, a book, a game for the family, toothbrush, toothpaste, a pair of pajamas and more. Students are encouraged to bring in canned food items by 8 am school days and after school until 3:45 p.m. The food drive is also being extended to the local communities as well.
