•December 18, 2024• Sullivan High School is celebrating a few students as the semester begins to end for the holidays with the release of the News-Gazette All-Area Cross Country team. Sullivan High School’s very own Jacob Iacobazzi, a junior, making the All-Area Boys first team. Illinois LICA hosts safety workshop series

The Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association (ILICA) is hosting a safety workshop series at 3 locations across the state in January for anyone seeking 10HR OSHA, Flagger, and/or CPR certification. Training will be provided by ILICA member Grey & Associates.    The 2-day workshops include a full day and a half of 10HR OSHA certification training, followed by a half day of either flagger or CPR certification training. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
