Sullivan boys basketball pick up two conference wins

•January 22, 2025• by E. Scott England The Sullivan Redskins have an overall winning record. And in the conference, they are undefeated. This is thanks to two big wins over conference opponents last week. First up was Cerro Gordo/Bement. Defensively, their main focus was Will Fuson. Aside from his quickness, he is dangerous behind the arc. He proved so by draining five threes in the evening. Unfortunately, no other CGB player got out of single digits in scoring. •January 22, 2025• Smoke Hills  By Janet Roney I’ve been following an 1811 map made by Isaac Hill of the lower Kaskaskia River and west central Illinois for his brother, Henry, who was, I believe, a Ranger at Ft. Massac in southern Illinois. It shows Indian trails that connected to trails that led into Moultrie County. The many notes written in the margins and his report for Henry hold much information that local historians are still deciphering and debating. The Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Pageant will be held Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. for Little Miss Fair Queen and 7:00 p.m. for Miss and Junior Miss Fair Queen located at the south track on the Mo-Do Fairgrounds.
