Echoes of Grace performing live

Sullivan City Council hears water update

•March 18, 2026• by Sharon Barricklow Water issues continued to be on the agenda for the Sullivan City Council at their March 9 meeting, with how to find it and how to pay for it on the City Council’s mind. Council member Chuck Woodworth, who oversees the water department, said a test well dug at the city’s well field had yielded good results. The city is waiting for approval of the water quality before moving any further ahead. Salary increases discussed at Moultrie board meeting

•March 18, 2026• by Sharon Barricklow How much to pay Moultrie County’s elected officials was on the agenda for the Moultrie County board at their March 12 meeting. The board has until 180 days before the election to vote on changes for officials like the County Clerk, County Circuit Clerk, Supervisor of Assessments and Treasurer. At Thursday night’s meeting, the board was asked to consider raising the Clerk and Treasurer, both on the fall ballot, to $70,000 with $1500 annual increases for the length of the terms.  … Read More

Helmeth receives Amtryke

River Helmeth received an Amtryke from the Sullivan AMBUCS at their fundraising cookout last Saturday, May 9th, in the Kirby Foods parking lot. River rode her new Amtryke for the first time like a pro as her mom Stephanie, looked on. With a big smile and look of determination, River showed everyone how well she could ride.
