8th Grade Lady Redskins fall to Morris Saratoga

In last Friday’s State tournament held in Pana, Sullivan’s Lady Redskins fell to Morris Saratoga in two sets 25-9, 25-3. On the upside, it was the First State Tournament appearance in school history, Sectional Champions, and Regional Champions. Emma Drake and Elin Watkins were awarded the IESA Sportsmanship pin for showing outstanding sportsmanship in the Regional Championship and Sectional Championship games for showing a positive attitude towards teammates, opponents, and officials as well as elevating the play and behavior of their peers.   A pep rally was held last Friday to send the girls off.
