Loop Lake Shelbyville bike ride

•May 15, 2024• The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Friends of Lake Shelbyville are hosting the Loop Lake Shelbyville bike ride on Saturday, June 8th. All rides will start from the Lake Shelbyville Visitor and will include options for a 30 mile, 48 mile or a 65 mile ride. Free summer meals

•May 15, 2024• Sullivan Schools will be providing free meals to anyone 18 and under in our area. They plan to deliver door-to-door to anyone who would like to receive meals. This will occur one day per week with 5 days of meals per child. Meal delivery will begin the week of May 28 and run through August 9. Complete the form by 5pm on May 16 in order to allow for appropriate ordering of food and arrangement of delivery schedule. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
