•June 26, 2024• Submitted by Kathy Doty Bethany held their annual Bethany Celebration this past weekend. Activities started on Thursday evening with the Miss Bethany pageants. The new Royalty for 2024 includes Miss Deanna Clark, Junior Miss Adi O’Dell, Young Miss Abbie Flood, and Little Miss Brynley Liles-French. The queens were available during the weekend to hostess and help with other activities. Friday night included Opening Ceremonies with the singing of the National Anthem by Annie Flood and presentation of Marge Overlot as this year’s Grand Marshall. 2014 From virtual Texas Hold ‘Em to organizational communication and wildlife resource management, members of the Lake Land College Honors Program have been conducting undergraduate research this year in a variety of topics. Several Honors Program students recently presented their findings at the annual honors luncheon where they were also recognized for their achievements. Moultrie County tax sale

•June 26, 2024• Moultrie County, as Trustee, has completed their tax deed proceedings on real estate properties that were delinquent for 2020 and mobile homes that were delinquent for 2021 and prior real estate taxes. BASO Car Show a success

The Bethany Advocates and Support Organization hosted its annual car show on August 22 at Crowder Park. The perfect afternoon weather bought out 52 entries and many enthusiastic onlookers. Greg Fitzgerald’s 1966 Pontiac GTO took home Best off Show honors.
