Giannoulias Advocates to Make Digital Driver’s Licenses & IDs Available

•March 6, 2024• Continuing his commitment to modernize the Secretary of State’s office, Secretary Alexi Giannoulias is championing legislation to allow Illinois residents to start using digital driver’s licenses and state IDs. Giannoulias’ backing marks the first time the Illinois Secretary of State’s office has supported such a measure, which now includes digital IDs as well as digital driver’s licenses. HB 4592 is sponsored by State Representative Kam Buckner (26th District) and State Senator Michael Hastings (19th District). SHS Track Starts Season Strong

2014 The vendor that IDNR chose in 2010 to renovate and ultimately reopen Eagle Creek Resort issued the state agency a notice of termination effective later that week. BMDD Resort, the vendor who was awarded the bid to renovate the resort walked away from the project after what they cited as a frustrating relationship with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.  Two teams from Moultrie County, The Beacon Blizzards and the Bug Squashers raised money for the Special Olympics by taking the Polar Plunge into Lake Decatur.
