SBL to Host Free Kidney Screenings

•March 6, 2024• The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois is teaming up with Sarah Bush Lincoln to provide a free kidney and health screening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15, for all community members. The screening will be held in the Rush and Salk Rooms of the SBL Lumpkin Education Center, 1000 Health Center Drive En-trance C. Anyone interested in getting screened for kid-ney disease, high blood pressure or diabetes is encouraged to attend. There is no cost to be screened, and appointments are not necessary. … Read More

Genealogy Circle to Begin at the Moultrie County History Center

•March 6, 2024• The organizational meeting of the “Genealogy Circle” will be on Tuesday, March 12 at 6:30 pm at the Moultrie History Center at 1303 S. Hamilton, Sullivan. The group will serve both beginning and experienced genealogists, as well as everyone in between. Circle members will have a chance to explore genealogy further, share ideas, solve problems, and assist others. Meetings of the Genealogy Circle will be on the second Tuesday of each month at the center. Donna Scott Donna Sue Scott, 82, of Springfield, Virginia, passed away at 11:00pm Eastern Time on February 24, 2024, at Alexandria Hospital, Alexandria, Virginia. She relied on her strong faith during a long, courageous battle. A Funeral Service will be held March 8, 2024, at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, Fairfax, Virginia. Service will commence at 1:00pm with visitation an hour prior to the service.
