Vaugh DeVorse Vaughn A. DeVorse, 75, of Sullivan, passed away at 7:05 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2022, in Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Charleston. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, October 14, in St. Columcille Catholic Church in Sullivan. Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday in Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan, with Military Honors conducted by Sullivan American Legion Post # 68. Lake Land College offers Laker+ Financial Aid Program for Students who Qualify via FAFSA

•October 12, 2022• Lake Land College students can now complete a FAFSA to find out if they qualify for the Laker+ financial aid program. With the Laker+ program, students who qualify for financial assistance often receive more than enough to cover tuition and fees, so the remaining money is refunded to the student. The Lake Land College Laker+ program maximizes qualifying students’ financial aid opportunities to cover tuition and fees plus provides support for living expenses. The Bethany varsity eco-team came in fourth in a field of more than 20 schools in a recent Lake Shelbyville eco-meet. Members of the team were science teacher Arlone Doan, J.C. In new and unfinished business the agenda listed two items, but the item on Medicare Supplement and Prescription Drug Plan was tabled.
