B&G’s for Ronnie B Breakfast

•September 28, 2022• The Sullivan Fire Protection District will be having B&G’s (biscuits and gravy) for Ronnie B breakfast on Saturday, October 1 from 6 to 10 am at the firehouse located at 115 W. Harrison St. Breakfast is by donation $10 for adults, $5.00 for children 10 and under and children 2 and under eat free. There will also be 5 lb boxes of rope sausage for sale for $30. Moultrie County Man Sentenced to IDOC for Domestic Battery

•September 21, 2022• Matthew D. Phelps, 35, of Kirksville has been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections. At a hearing on September 6, 2022, Judge Jeremy Richey accepted an agreement whereby Phelps pled guilty to Domestic Battery (Enhanced Sentence), a Class 4 Felony, in Moultrie County case 2022-CF-55 as well as Domestic Battery (Enhanced Sentence), a Class 4 Felony, in Moultrie County case 2022-CF-53. Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation.
