SBD Swimmers Qualify For Regional Championship Team

They competed the weekend of July 15th at the Central Park Pool in Peoria. In order to attend this meet a swimmer must get a qualifying time in the event based on their age group. New Program Seeks to Serve Low Resource and at-risk Rural Veterans

•July 20, 2022• Christ’s Food Pantry at the First Christian Church in Lovington is announcing the Reaching Rural Veterans initiative, a new effort that will help address needs of low-resource and at-risk rural veterans in Moultrie Co. The Reaching Rural Veterans events will take place every 3rd Thursday from 2-4 pm at 301 S. County St., Lovington. The Reaching Rural Veterans project is supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is facilitated by the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) at Purdue University. •July 20, 2022• Summer Enrollment Trends Positive Lake Land College Summer enrollment is up nearly 9% as students take advantage of the historic $100 tuition guarantee and flexible scheduling options. With more than 1,400 students enrolled for summer, Lake Land is experiencing an 8.8% increase in headcount and an 8.1% in full time equivalency or FTE. Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
