Adcock of Hammond, Illinois, passed away in Decatur Memorial Hospital Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 1:12 p.m. Ruth was born April 3, 1954, in Effingham, Illinois, a daughter of Charles H. and Doris Jean (Lilley) Brewer. She graduated from Atwood-Hammond High School in 1972 and from Parkland College in Champaign in 1991. Mobile Food Pantry

The mobile food pantry is being held in partnership with Decatur Catholic Charities and Windsor School District. A mobile food pantry delivers a 2 week supply of food per family in rural communities. Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
