Gerald “Jerry” Rohman Gerald Edward “Jerry” Rohman, 76, of Sullivan, passed away 8:37 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan, for friends and family to Celebrate the Life of Gerald. No service will be held. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation: kidney.org. Jerry was born August 14, 1945, in Spring Valley; the son of Harold G. and Marcella (Murphy) Rohman. •October 20, 2021• Golf Boys During a tough fall sports season for Sullivan High School, the Sullivan boys’ golf team has given fans more than expected. After winning the Central A&M Boys Golf Regional with a score of 314 at Moweaqua two Wednesdays ago, the Redskins placed fifth in the Boys Golf Sectional at Beecher Monday. Sullivan finished with a team score of 350 in the 12-team sectional. Host Beecher won the sectional meet with a score of 323. Moweaqua Muddy Water Rendezvous

•October 20, 2021• The Moweaqua Muddy Water Rendezvous will be October 16 and 17. Saturday hours are 10 am to dark and Sunday hours are 10 am to 2 pm. Take a step back in time and re-live the past with the Prairieland Frontiersmen Club at their annual fall rendezvous. Sullivan Dance Studio’s Competition Team Hosts Quest Dance Convention

Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation.
