SCED and Regional Economic Development Groups Win State Grant

•July 21, 2021• Sullivan Chamber and Economic Development and a consortium of regional economic development organizations have won a Community Navigator Grant to support local businesses hardest hit by the pandemic. Bethany Village Board Votes To Proceed With Water System Upgrades

Southern Gospel Concert

•July 21, 2021• There will be a free southern gospel concert featuring Jeff Boston of Lebanon, Mo., on Saturday, July 24 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Allenville Christian Church. Jeff is a member of the Declaration 212 recording artist family. He has been singing gospel music since he was 12 and has traveled with several Southern Gospel quartets over the years. He now has a solo ministry. Also performing that night will be local Declaration 212 recording artist Greg Ridenhour. A love offering will be collected to support Jeff’s ministry. •July 21, 2021• Millikin University recently announced the names of the outstanding undergraduates who have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester. Students who attempt 12 graded credits during a fall or spring semester and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher earn Dean’s List honors. Students earning a perfect 4.00 grade point average on 12 graded credits attempted earn High Dean’s List honors. Lake Shelbyville Tree Stand Permits Now Available for Deer Season

The policy allows hunters to leave one stand up for the season (“Seasonal Tree Stand”) and/or utilize up to two “Roving” stands that can be left up during archery season for a period not to exceed a break in use greater than 72 hours – the length of a 3 day weekend. Miss Sullivan Pageants Return

“Together, We Give Back to School”

Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation.
