•June 16, 2021• by Crystal Reed NP Writer Allie Hennigh of Windsor is celebrating the opening of not one but two businesses this coming Saturday. Hennigh opened Allie’s Gift and Garden two months ago and will have the first day of business for Allie’s Alibi, a winery, on Saturday. The Gift and Garden is located in what was formerly a grain elevator. The house next to it, which is the home of Allie’s Alibi, was a train depot at one time. Secretary of State Jesse White Launching Electronic Automobile Insurance Verification

•June 9, 2021• Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced that automobile insurance verification will be conducted electronically. This upgrade to the state’s mandatory insurance verification program will begin enforcement on July 1, 2021. The program requires insurance companies to work in conjunction with the Secretary of State’s office to confirm electronically that motorists have automobile insurance. This program follows national standards established by the Insurance Industry Committee on Motor Vehicle Administration and is expected to reduce the number of Illinois motorists driving while uninsured. … Read More

Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation.
