•May 26, 2021• The Sullivan American Legion Post will be having services for Memorial Day. On Sunday, May 30 they will have a service at the Jonathan Creek Church at 11:30 am. On Monday, May 31 they will step from the square at 7:45 am and march to Greenhill Cemetery for the 8 am service. Becky Lawson will be the speaker. •May 19, 2021• Softball The Redskin softball team finished the week with a 1-3 record. Sullivan defeated Central A&M but lost to Clinton, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and St. Teresa. The Redskins plated three runs in the sixth inning to defeated Central A&M last Wednesday 9-6. For Sullivan, Morgan Moll recorded two singles, a double and three RBIs. Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation. Pictured (left to right) are Cameron Martin, Taylor Lilly, James Martin, Marla Martin and Angela McRill following the July 27 delivery.
