2025 Moultrie County tentative multiplier announced

•November 26, 2025• Moultrie County has been issued a tentative property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000, according to David Harris, director of the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR). The property assessment equalization factor, often called the “multiplier,” is the method used to achieve uniform property assessments among counties, as required by law. This equalization is particularly important because some of the state’s 6,600 local taxing districts overlap into two or more counties (e.g., school districts, junior college districts, fire protection districts). Trojans halt Knights quest for championship

•November 26, 2025• by E. Scott England The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans are known around Illinois football for their domination. Head coach Josh Jostes has been with the Trojans since 2000. By his seventh year, he had led his team to an undefeated championship season. Since then, the Trojans have found their way to eight additional title games, collecting one more championship while falling short in the big game the other seven times. ALAH School Board reviews building options, approves tentative tax levy

Representatives from BLDD Architects and CORE Construction—architect Damien Schlitt and construction manager Britt Steffen—attended the meeting to share progress on planning the new high school facility. The storm that occurred in the evening hours of June 11th produced wind gusts of up to 70 mph left many locals without power, with many experiencing damage to property ranging from mild to extreme.
