Based on the current self-response rate of 63.3%, the Census Bureau estimates it will need to visit about 56 million addresses to collect responses in person. An Eastern Illinois University graduate with a master’s degree in physical education and an administrator’s certificate he has taught chemistry, math and science at Charleston High School since 1984.
