Moultrie County 4-H Members Attend 4-H Leadership Conference
•March 11, 2020• Sarina Voegel and Hannah Creek both represented Moultrie-Douglas 4-H and their Moultrie County Shining Stars 4-H Club by attending the annual Illinois 4-H Leadership Conference. This overnight event was held in Effingham on February 22-23. They were two of 100 members in 7th and 8th grade from around the state in attendance. While at the conference they attended sessions on a variety of topics. The sessions included: Tacky Tourist Trivia, which allowed members to test their knowledge of the world, 4-H, pop, culture and more in teams. Greenhill Cemetery Cleanup Begins
•March 4, 2020• The city of Sullivan will begin its quarterly cleanup of Greenhill Cemetery on Monday, March 16. Residents with surface flowers, wreaths, grave blankets or any other ground surface decorations should remove them by Sunday, March 15 if they wish to keep them. Cemetery personnel will not pick up any flowers in vases or on the monuments. •March 4, 2020• Critical Care Nurse Amy Masengale, RN, was honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Sarah Bush Lincoln on February 27. Masengale was nominated by a daughter who was grateful for the compassionate care she provided to her mother at the end of her life.
