•February 5, 2020• By Jason Brown NP Sports Editor After winning seven straight games, the Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond boys’ basketball team dropped two Lincoln Prairie Conference Tournament games. The Knights lost to Okaw Valley 45-40 Saturday and Cumberland last Tuesday to place fourth in the LPC Tournament. Despite defeating the Pirates 53-46 a week earlier, the Knights lost to Cumberland 59-55. The game was back and forth. Against the Lions on senior night Monday, the Knights jumped out early with an 18-8 lead and did not look back. There are a number of challenges that arise when one specific grade has approximately 30% more students than the typical class that comes through. The number of sections of each subject offered varies.
