Sullivan Spark Gets Helping Hand from Peace Corps Volunteer

Her father later took a job with the United Nations and she completed her high school education at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. It is Sullivan’s MAPPING program that brings her here. Sullivan’s program was renamed SPARK so people wouldn’t think it was a geography project. SPARK was to ignite economic development in Sullivan. •September 18, 2019• By Jason Brown NP Sports Editor The Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond volleyball team finished the week 1-2 this week a win against Sullivan Monday and losses to Cerro Gordo Thursday and Okaw Valley last Tuesday. Monday night against Sullivan, ALAH took the first set 25-14 and the second 25-19 for the match. Alisha Frederick combined for 17 assists and three digs, and Mackenzi Bowles totaled nine kills and two digs. •September 11, 2019• The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has recently reported the first confirmed case of human West Nile Virus (WNV) in Illinois for 2019. The individual, a resident of Chicago, IL, is 70 years old. While many people anticipate mosquito activity to decline in autumn months, this time of year is actually the most intense for the spread of West Nile Virus (WNV) through mosquito bites. According to the IDPH, there are currently 31 counties in Illinois with confirmed WNV cases. In 2018, IDPH reported 176 human cases of West Nile Virus in Illinois, including 17 deaths. … Read More
