The Sullivan boys’ basketball team opened its season with a tough 47-43 win against rival Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond

“Terrific team win,” said Sullivan coach Chester Reeder. “We have a long way to go and a lot of things to improve on, but it’s always good to get the first one.”

Sullivan was behind three points after the first quarter, and ALAH lost Colton Romine to a concussion early in the game which greatly affected Knights’ coach Dale Schuring’s strategy.

“The biggest difference in the game is we turned them over 24 times, and we got 23 offensive rebounds,” said Reeder.
