A memorial service to celebrate the life of Celia Marguerite Brown, 96, of Blue Mound was held at 11 a.m. Monday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Blue Mound. Burial was in Grove City Cemetery in Mt. Auburn. She died Thursday, May 19, 2016.
She was born April 13, 1920 in Springfield, a daughter of Elmer and Grace Baughman Ferre. She owned and operated Marguerite’s Beauty Salon in Blue Mound for more than 40 years and was a member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 327 in Blue Mound. She married J. Arthur Brown July 1, 1938 in Kentucky, and he preceded her in death. Read More
