Submitted by Mary Hughes
Moultrie County Dove Coordinator

Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, assault, battery, sexual assault and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner and/or a family member against another. It is an epidemic affecting individuals in every community, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, nationality or educational background. Violence against women is often accompanied by emotionally abusive and controlling behavior and thus is part of a systematic pattern of dominance and control. SES Collecting Box Tops

News Progress Posted on October 9, 2013 by webmasterOctober 9, 2013

Sullivan Elementary School has been busy collecting box tops already this year and have so far collected just over 14,000, which means they are almost one-third of the way to their goal. To celebrate in October the SES PTO will sponsor Tailgate Tuesdays.

Every Tuesday in October students at SES are encouraged to bring in box tops and wear apparel representing their favorite sports teams. The grade with the most box tops at the end of October will win a new football for their playground. The classroom with the most box tops brought in will receive specific classroom prizes. Clip box tops and send to SES with your students or look for community drop-offs around town.

Box Top drop-off locations so far may be found at the senior center, Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library, and Oakwood Apothecary. Anyone interested in sponsoring a drop box at their location or business should contact Jennifer Voegel at javoegel@yahoo.com or 217-259-9810.

Box top funds are used to help fund PTO projects such as teacher grants, field trips, and classroom supplies.

For more information contact SES PTO president Ginger Voegel at 217-549-3877 or email her at gvoegel@yahoo.com.
