•August 21, 2024• Bethany resident Kate Jeffers celebrated a major academic milestone on May 12, 2024, graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Kate was honored with the distinction of Highest Honors and was a consistent presence on the Dean’s List during her four years at Illinois. In addition to her degree, Kate earned a minor in Disability Studies, which she pursued while studying abroad at University College Dublin in Ireland. •August 21, 2024• The Village of Lovington will be hosting a PAWS Microchip clinic on Sunday, September 15th from 1-2:30 in the afternoon at the Lovington Fire House located at 120 South County Street. The base fee for a microchip is $15, cats and dogs are welcome however dogs must be leashed and cats must be crated in a carrier.
