•September 8, 2021• The University of Illinois Extension, in cooperation with Decatur Catholic Charities and Windsor School District, will have a mobile food pantry Wednesday, October 6 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at Windsor Grade School. A mobile food pantry delivers a 2 week supply of food per family in rural communities. Any individual or family that does not have a steady food supply qualifies to receive food. 25 Years Ago This Week A $1.5 million project designed to shore up Bethany’s collapsing streets was brought a step closer to reality by the Moultrie County Board. The board authorized the county engineer to sign a letter of intent with the village and state to participate in an infrastructure project to renovate storm sewers and streets in Bethany. The letter of intent said the costs would be split between federal, county, village and state with a total of $1,585,000. •September 8, 2021• SOV Football Sullivan/Okaw Valley dropped its second game of the year with a 50-6 loss to Newton at Newton Friday. Sullivan scored its touchdown on a pass play in the second quarter. Newton took a 30-point lead into halftime. For SOV, Kyle Corkill was 8-for-12 passing for 104 yards, including the touchdown pass, and he rushed for 31 yards. Will Dawkins finish with 32-yards receiving on two catches.
