Sullivan Girls’ Basketball Posts Wins

•March 3, 2021• by Jason Brown NP Sports The Sullivan girls’ basketball team won two Central Illinois Conference games and a non-conference game this past week and entered the top ten Class 2A state ranking for the first time this season at No. 8. Sullivan improved to 9-1 on the season by winning its seventh-straight game. The Redskins knocked off Central A&M Monday Feb. 22, Tuscola Thursday, Feb. 25, and St. Anthony Saturday. Cemetery Cleanup

•March 3, 2021• The City of Sullivan will begin its quarterly cleanup of Greenhill Cemetery on Monday, March 15. Residents with surface flowers, wreaths, grave blankets or any other ground surface decorations should remove them by Sunday, March 14 if they wish to keep them. The cemetery personnel will not pick up any flowers in vases or on the monuments unless deteriorated. The cemetery does not have a facility to store unclaimed decorations, so if you wish to keep your items, please pick them up by this date. FCCLA Section 7 Holds Virtual Conference

•March 3, 2021• Nineteen students from Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond High School attended the Illinois Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Section 7 Leadership Conference via ZOOM on Friday, February 12 in Tuscola. Sullivan Boys’ Bball Drops Games Against Maroa Forsyth and Clinton

LLC Designs Fall Schedule Around Students

The fall schedule, published last week, includes a mix of in-person, virtual and online courses. Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation. Pictured (left to right) are Cameron Martin, Taylor Lilly, James Martin, Marla Martin and Angela McRill following the July 27 delivery.
